Here on the Pochuck Mountain I heard the first" I wish it was snowing." from one of the family. Surprising as the one who uttered this is the one who has to remove all the fluffy white stuff. But alas, he has had enough of the heat, humidity and well with all the rain , he has had enough of the muck. He said " I wish everything was frozen solid"

So while he dreams of frozen muck, I have to admit my yankee blood is wishing for knitted sweaters and sleigh riding. I have been getting my fiber fix with this homespun. I spun this on a drop spindle, than plyed it on my Kiwi.

Today I was needle felting this little gnome and redcap. Little Paula and I went for a walk up in the woods found many real redcaps. So beautiful. I wish we had a camera.

This is some homespun alpaca with little pink seed beads. Its really soft. I had no idea how soft alpaca is.

This is a collar I knitted. Little Paula didnt like the big curl on the front. What can I say. I just love curls on the yarn. She said if I take off the curl, she will wear it. WELL! Take off the curl........NEVER!

EVER,EVER,EVER,EVER ; P

We left the mountain and went to the beach. I guess we visit the ocean about every two years. This year was really fun because my children were a bit bigger and my new grandson lives at the beach with his mommy and daddy. So we packed up and drove the two and a half hours. It wasnt too bad because the bigger kids stayed awake on the ride home which is easier for me. Its good to have the extra eyes as the highways can be confusing from one part of the state to the other.

Ive been working on my spinning. I ran some of this through my new spinning wheel with those beads. Im very happy with the results. I love to buy nice art yarn but it gets so pricey. So now I can make my own. I had always wanted to learn to do this and Im glad I finally did.

These are a family of swans that visit Nikki and Gerards dock. They were able to get a really nice house right on the water. The kids had a blast and couldnt believe they could catch crabs right from their house. It was really fun. I didnt get a picture of the crab nets. They kind of just hand of the docks.

This is the bay that they live on. These were some teens who just ran out of their house and jumped right on their sail boat. Its really beautiful there.

Paula and Gideon by Gerards PT Cruiser. Gideon rode to the beach in that with Gerard. With the top down of course : )

Uncle Gideon with a soggy shoulder.

This is the ocean at the state park. It was much cheaper to get on and just as nice as Ocean Grove. We saved so much money getting on the beach it paid for their souvenirs. Which works for me : )

Caleb in the bay.

Even the baby had a nice time in the water. He did really well. We were at the beach for about four hours and he never complained.
Sarah and Nikki with her same silly face she has always made. I laughed so hard when I saw this picture. Oh Nikki : )

G2 and g3

Sarah made this little hat for the baby and it almost doesnt fit. It certainly wont fit come the cold weather. So what else could we do but wedge it on the poor kid on a one hundred degree day haha

We hope you are all having a wonderful summer and resting in the Joy of the Lord. He alone is Worthy!
