These are not really mushrooms. If you touch them they turn all black.

This is the alpaca and some roving that was dyed with the poke berries. They color was really nice and I dyed some sheep roving that I had as well. I would really like to try the kool aide dyes. This was fun though because it was natural. I used cream of tarter and vinegar to get it to fix. See Zen if we lived closer what fun we could have : ) Love ya!

This is some alpaca wool that Janets uncle in Peru made in a little factory on the side of his house. He sent it to me along with a huge hank of dyed grey. I am so blessed.

sheep surprise

These sheep took me by surprise. I was with my daughter who moved her full sized horses to a friends field. The horses are in a beautiful paddock with a nice run in shed. They offered to let her use the far fields to ride and turn out ( horsie heaven) as soon as the sheep move on to their winter fields. I saw a few sheep, but was busy with the horses. Then the night before last I saw this one sheep on the top of the hill, then all of a sudden these sheep started running and baaaaahing .REALLY LOUD! I counted 75. The whole hill was rumbling with sheep. It was awesome. I have always thought it would be nice to have sheep. My husband said if we ever get rid of the ponies maybe. I dont see that in my future as they are like my childrens best friends. My little ones have just started jumping. So they have jumping fever. I guess I will have to be content. Maybe when everyone is grown up I can be a shepherdess. I like the sound of that. Maybe the children are good practice for that. The Lord refers to us as sheep. This video is only about one third of the sheep. The rest of them stayed up over the hill. It was getting pretty dark. It was still really fun to see them all. Their faces are really unique. They had funny teeth as well. Almost like a toddler. It did give them a sweet look.

Some of my kids thought this was icky. The older one thought it was creepy. I dont know about these kids. I thought it was happy!! A happy pepper. I really needed a smile too. And since my kids were so grumpy and couldnt even see my happy pepper for the miracle it was, it just made me happier. Then the little punks (joke, we're from Jersey thats how we talk) wanted to sell it on e bay : ( I dont know? What do you think? Happy or creepy?? PS They accused me of altering my pepper....I didnt...its just, you know...happy!
