We  have been watching Where the Wild Things Are. We also had a birthday for a special eleven year old!

These chocolate cupcakes are made with a can of root beer to replace the egg and oil in the gluten free cake mix. It taste the most cake texture of all the concoctions we have tried. Its hard to make a cake taste right without eggs and butter. Yeah root beer!
Sarahnina and Paula love to watch DC Cupcakes on Netflix. These are a special birthday treat from Paula to Sarahnina. All the way from Washington DC .

We have been watercolor painting with her new birthday paint brushes.

Mama Elf. You knew I was part Elfin, right? Proof in the pictures : )

Our favorite picture avoider and DC Cupcake purchaser, Paula .

This is wet on wet watercolor, Waldorf style

If you like cream cheese frosting..........which I do .......these were outrageously good cupcakes , we all enjoyed this special birthday treat. Thanks again Little Paula.......love,love,love U

I was reading this blog where the mother was telling of dragonflies on her farm that helped her grieve the loss of her son in a farm accident. She read a story that told of little worms that lived in the pond who would rise to the surface and never return. The other little worms wondered where their friends had gone. None returned. A few vowed to return with the answer. However upon reaching the surface they would transform into beautiful dragonflies. They would hover near the surface of the pond but the friends and family in the pond couldnt recognize them.  It went on to describe them as little messengers from heaven. I wish I had bookmarked the blog, but I tend to float around the blogoshpere haphazardly. I know the lady runs a therapeutic horse program for special people in her sons memory. We just love dragonflies here. The blog was so sweet. She has never run her program she said ,where dragonflies have not come to visit. . Given our love of dragonflies around here I was so touched by this sweet story of hope and encouragement. I love to be reminded of my darling in heaven. I dream of the day we will meet again. I was reflecting on a blog that I read regularly, where they are grieving the loss of a little one. We see all colors (so I thought* of dragonflies) green, blue, aqua, black, brown, purple.........but never, ever had I seen a red one. The mama who recently lost her little son loves to wear red exclusively. I almost fell over. A little red dragonfly visited me the other day when I was in the yard thinking of this story and this blog friend.....haha its funny to think of the authors of other blogs as friends. But its hard not to. I believe if we knew each other we would be friendly towards one another. Its good to be kind towards others. Well this is for her. If she sees this ****Hey Lauren**** I took this picture. Its not the greatest, but I think you can see my little visitor. Blessings always,  for Jesus sake : )

On those days when Im feeling all seemingly knotted or just plain bunched up..........
I take my time, straighten my strings. Tie my knots carefully, secure but not so tight that I cant take them out.
 With the right tools................................................................................
 You can do most anything.
Even passing hail storms can be beautiful......................

 From the right perspective.
We are hanging in there   : )
